Premiering today on Northwest Music Scene is a gorgeous new video for a track called “So Far Yes So Far” from PAMPA.
From lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Moon Baillie:
“I wrote “So Far Yes So Far” at my dad’s place, in the heart of the mountains in Cordoba, Argentina. I was on a three month trip with my partner, Rose. It was the first time in 15 years that I spent more than a month in Argentina, and I found myself missing Seattle, USA?!?!?!? It was a first for me. I surpassed the passport, and materialized a feeling, without hugging a flag. I became a part of USA’s culture as a LATINO then.

From Today
Since we went away
To the land
I am from
Now we are coming home”
This theme echoes through the album in our sound, which is not exclusively Latino, or North American, but a blend of both, like a river flowing into the ocean. La Contumacia explores the controversial, yet culture shifting situation that is immigration in the USA. And we identify with this wave of change.”
